8 January, Vitebsk /Alena Tikhonova - BELTA/. The first charity ice hockey match "Olympic Christmas" will be held in Vitebsk on January 9, the representative office of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus in the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.

The event will take the form of a hockey match between the HC "Vitebsk" team and amateur hockey players from the city of Vitebsk. Entrance tickets to the match will be gifts for orphans, the collection of which will be carried out before the start of the hockey battle.

"The charity match is held under the motto 'Love Hockey! Do Good!'. The collected gifts will be presented to the pupils of the social-pedagogical institutions of Vitebsk along with part of the donations that were collected for orphans during the regional charity event 'Olympic Heart'," explained the representative office of the NOC of Belarus in the Vitebsk region.

Pupils of the figure skating section and representatives of creative groups from Vitebsk will help create a festive atmosphere at the event. The celebration will also feature the mascot of the NOC representative office - the popular mascot costume character Mishka-Olimpishka.

The event is organised by the representative office of the NOC of Belarus in the Vitebsk region and SU "Vitebsk Hockey Club". -0-
