On April 16, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Five citizens of Belarus died and three more were injured in a road accident in the Lipetsk region of Russia on April 15. This is reported by the official website of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Lipetsk region.
A Volkswagen minibus, in which residents of Senno, Vitebsk region, were travelling to work in the Voronezh region, crashed on the 392nd kilometre of the "Don" highway. By the time of the accident, the Belarusians had been on the road for about 14 hours.
According to one of the versions, the driver fell asleep at the wheel, after which the vehicle collided with a truck parked on the roadside. The road accident was reported to the Unified Rescue Dispatch Service.
Among the deceased are men born in 1976, 1982, 1984, 1986, and 1992.
An investigative team is working at the scene of the accident to establish the full picture of what happened.-0-
