On November 6, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Vitebsk region will present five investment projects at the Belarusian Investment Forum, the first deputy head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee, Nataliya Saltanovich, told a BELTA correspondent. Proposals for the creation of a wind farm in the Liozno district and the construction of the Orsha Hydroelectric Power Station (initiated by the Vitebsk Republican Unitary Enterprise of Electric Power Industry "Vitebskenergo") will be presented to potential investors. Open Joint-Stock Company "Vityaz" will present a project for the creation of high-tech production facilities for television, medical, and other types of equipment on its basis. The investment proposal of OJSC "Moloko" (Vitebsk) concerns the construction of a workshop for the production of dry demineralized whey with a capacity of 500 tons per day, with expansion to 1 thousand tons of raw materials. OJSC "BelVitunipharm" will present a project for the creation of a unified complex for the production of biological and pharmaceutical preparations. The total investment volume of the declared projects is about $300 million. Currently, the enterprises representing these proposals at the forum in Minsk are completing the preparation of information stands and samples of products offered for production, Nataliya Saltanovich noted. The Belarusian Investment Forum will be held in Minsk on November 15-16 with the participation of representatives of foreign businesses, financial institutions, and international organizations. They will be provided with complete and reliable information on the country's investment potential, including opportunities arising from the formation of a 170 million common market of the Single Economic Space, and major investment projects will be offered for consideration. The format of the forum has been updated this year not only to present Belarus's opportunities but also to carefully study and consider the wishes of potential investors. In this regard, a round table with the introduction of an institute of an independent moderator from among authoritative international experts has been chosen as the main form of work. The forum will also include a Startup Day and a meeting of the Advisory Council on Foreign Investments.-0-
