The first day of the business forum in Vitebsk was productive, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. In total, today representatives of enterprises and local authorities of the Vitebsk region signed five letters of intent on cooperation and five agreements with foreign investors and companies. Thus, the foreign organization Live Green Org Ngo intends to implement a project worth €1.7 million in the field of industrial waste processing and biogas production at the Chashniki Distillery branch of the Polotsk Winery. The Azerbaijani production and commercial firm "Tural K" has documented its intention to build a plasterboard production plant with an investment volume of €800,000 in the Polotsk district. A representative of the foreign company OU Euro Petrol System signed a letter of intent for the construction of three shopping and entertainment and cultural and business centers in Vitebsk. The Sennensky and Dokshitsky District Executive Committees also managed to attract the attention of potential investors. A number of new facilities may appear in Polotsk in the near future. A representative of IZAO "Glera Market" signed an agreement with the local city executive committee on the construction of a retail facility worth $1.4 million, and SOOO "Contactless Car Wash" signed an agreement on the construction of three modern car wash complexes (€600,000). The agreement on cooperation in information exchange between the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, the "Vitebsk City and Company" Information and Consulting Association, and Vidzeme Television and Radio Company (Latvia) will contribute to the deepening of further economic contacts. Agreements concluded by the Vitebsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Liepaja Branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Latvia, as well as FEZ "Vitebsk" with the Confederation of Industrialists of Latvia, are designed to promote the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarusian and Latvian enterprises. The II International Forum "Innovative Business - Investments of the Future" is taking place in Vitebsk on October 21-22. The event is aimed at intensifying cooperation processes between regions, cities, economic entities, promoting the growth of export and investment potential, facilitating the implementation of joint investment projects, and presenting innovative ideas and developments.
