Small and medium-sized businesses formed one-fifth of the revenue part of the Vitebsk region budget in the first half of the year, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. In the first half of 2012, 22.3% of the Vitebsk region budget revenues were formed by receipts from small and medium-sized businesses. Over six months, they paid Br964.4 billion in taxes to the regional budget, including Br733.4 billion from small businesses and Br231 billion from medium-sized businesses. The largest amounts of taxes came from wholesale trade organizations - Br434.1 billion, construction organizations - Br103.1 billion, and retail trade organizations - Br41.2 billion. Small and medium-sized businesses paid Br476.3 billion in profit tax, or 49.4% of the total amount of taxes paid. Individual entrepreneurs also contributed to the formation of the region's budget. The share of tax revenues from them in the first half of the year was 2.3%, or Br101.4 billion. The main part of receipts from entrepreneurs is formed by payments of a single tax - Br36 billion, or 35.5% of the total receipts from individual entrepreneurs. As of July 1, 2012, there were 8,313 small businesses and 337 medium-sized businesses registered in the Vitebsk region, and 25.6 thousand individual entrepreneurs were also registered. -0-
