In May 2016, the State Fire Safety Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, in accordance with the "Coordination Plan for Control (Supervisory) Activities for the 1st Half of 2016 in the Vitebsk Region," completed a scheduled inspection of the State Educational Institution "Socio-Pedagogical Center of Lepel."
In May 2016, the State Fire Safety Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, in accordance with the "Coordination Plan for Control (Supervisory) Activities for the 1st Half of 2016 in the Vitebsk Region," completed a scheduled inspection of the State Educational Institution "Socio-Pedagogical Center of Lepel."
The fire safety status at the State Educational Institution "Socio-Pedagogical Center of Lepel" does not fully comply with the requirements. During the inspection, violations of technical regulatory legal acts of the fire safety regulation and standardization system were identified, namely:
- Measures to limit flame spread and ensure safe evacuation of people from the building in case of fire have not been taken; wooden roof structures have not been treated with fire-retardant compounds; floor coverings with undetermined fire hazard indicators (wood) have been laid on the evacuation route (corridor); employees who are members of the voluntary fire brigade, as well as employees involved in the implementation of the building evacuation plan in case of fire, have not been provided with personal respiratory and eye protection equipment (self-rescuers).
- Fire extinguisher recharging is not carried out in accordance with the manufacturers' technical specifications.
Regarding all identified issues, the center's director has submitted applications to the Department of Education, Sports, and Tourism of the Lepel District Executive Committee to request assistance in rectifying the violations identified during the previous inspection by the State Fire Safety bodies; however, funding for measures to eliminate the identified violations is not being properly allocated.
The organizational and technical measures carried out at the facility are generally in compliance with the requirements.
