In November, the Inspection of Supervision and Prevention of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, in accordance with the "Coordination Plan for Control (Supervisory) Activities for the 2nd Half of 2015 in the Vitebsk Region," completed scheduled inspections of UP "DorAvt" and IP "Khoroshun S.V."
During the inspections of UP "DorAvt" and IP "Khoroshun S.V.," it was established that the heads of these organisations were not taking measures to bring the facilities into a fire-safe condition. A number of similar violations were identified, namely: premises were not equipped with automatic fire alarm systems; wooden structures of attics and wooden shelving in warehouses were not treated with fire-retardant compounds; protective shades were absent from electrical light fixtures in rooms containing combustible materials; measurements of the insulation resistance of electrical wiring in the buildings and premises of the enterprises by a specialised organisation had not been carried out; the system for training employees on fire safety requirements did not comply with regulatory documents (not approved by the head's order, fire-technical minimum training programme not conducted); a homemade metal heating stove was being operated in the work area of UP "DorAvt," and the territory of the vehicle service station was not cleared of combustible materials.
For the violations identified during the scheduled inspections, the heads have been brought to administrative responsibility.
