In July, the Supervision and Prevention Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, in accordance with the "Coordination Plan for Control (Supervisory) Activities for the 1st Half of 2016 in the Vitebsk Region," completed scheduled inspections of the State Nature Protection Institution "Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve" and the State Unitary Agricultural Production Enterprise "Lepelskoe."
In July, the Supervision and Prevention Inspectorate of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, in accordance with the "Coordination Plan for Control (Supervisory) Activities for the 1st Half of 2016 in the Vitebsk Region," completed scheduled inspections of the State Nature Protection Institution "Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve" and the State Unitary Agricultural Production Enterprise "Lepelskoe."
The management is undertaking the necessary work to bring the facility into proper fire safety condition. Training for employees on the fire-technical minimum program has been organised. The organisational and technical measures carried out at the facility are generally in compliance with the requirements. Measures have been taken to ensure the fire resistance of buildings and structures, and wooden roof structures have been treated with a fire-retardant compound. Measurements of insulation resistance of electrical wiring and grounding devices have also been performed.
During the inspection of the State Unitary Agricultural Production Enterprise "Lepelskoe," violations of technical regulatory legal acts of the fire safety standardisation and regulation system were identified, namely:
- employees involved in the implementation of the people evacuation plan from buildings are not provided with personal respiratory protective equipment;
- training of employees on the fire-technical minimum program has not been organised at the facility;
- smoking is permitted outside specially designated, equipped, and marked "Smoking Area" locations.
For the violations identified during the scheduled inspections, the managers, as well as the heads of structural divisions responsible for fire safety at the assigned facilities, have been brought to administrative responsibility.
