By the initiative of the Vitebsk regional organization of the public association "Belarusian Union of Women", the club for foster families "Under the Parental Wing" was solemnly opened in Vitebsk.

Invitations to the event were received by over twenty families from different parts of the northern region – parents who will become project curators in their respective districts.

Lepel District was represented by Irina Isakovich. Irina Petrovna has been a foster parent for over 10 years and currently raises two children.

In total, there are 298 foster families in the Vitebsk region.

The participants of the event were addressed with a welcoming speech by the Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Women's Union, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Marina Novitskaya.

Participation in the Club's activities will give substitute parents the opportunity to exchange personal experiences, provide mutual support, and enhance their personal and professional competence.
