Following the "Big Conversation", the Presidential Administration held 32 outreach sessions for citizens - Kochanova

All appeals remaining after the "Big Conversation with the President" will be brought to a logical conclusion. This was stated by the Head of the Presidential Administration, Natalya Kochanova, on the program "Main Broadcast" on the Belarus 1 TV channel, according to BELTA.

According to her, almost all issues have been considered. Today, out of 2.5 thousand received appeals, 102 remain under control. "Explanations have been provided in some cases, and measures have been taken quickly in others. There are a number of examples of how promptly local authorities have acted. The appeals that remain under control will definitely be brought to a logical conclusion. These are issues related to the need to make amendments and additions to legislation, which requires time," Natalya Kochanova noted. In addition, following the "Big Conversation with the President" alone, the Presidential Administration held 32 outreach receptions for citizens, attended by about 600 people.

Natalya Kochanova spoke about the issues that were received during the preparation and holding of the "Big Conversation with the President." They concerned employment, social protection, support for families raising children, and the use of family capital. "And now, a decision has been made at the head of state level. This approach will be in effect for the next five-year period. As for the use of family capital funds, this issue is being considered at the government and relevant ministry level," added the Head of the Presidential Administration.

"We sometimes see that an appeal under consideration is not fully resolved. For example, people complain about cold apartments, mold, or dampness. And our services start taking measures: let's install additional radiator sections – it yields no result, let's insulate the wall – it yields no result. And why is that? Because there must be a professional approach to solving such issues," Natalya Kochanova continued. It is necessary to understand why a particular situation has arisen in order to resolve it for the benefit of all residents of the building.

The Head of the Presidential Administration emphasized that more work needs to be done with people. "Very recently, at a personnel day, the President once again stressed that local authorities should actively work with the population. This is necessary so that people know and understand what will be done in their city, district, or village in the near future. And when managers are not working enough in the information space somewhere, people are forced to appeal," she noted. "I always say: if people appeal to local authorities, it's good. It means they trust the local authorities and feel that these issues can be resolved and there is no need to appeal to higher authorities or write repeated appeals."

The Presidential Administration pays special attention to repeated appeals and those that are sent to higher authorities. "This characterizes the work at the local level. Here, managers of various levels can be assessed to some extent," added Natalia Kochanova. Work with citizens' appeals in Belarus is constant, clearly structured, and defined by law, she emphasized.

As reported, during the preparation and holding of the "Big Conversation with the President," the Head of State received about 2.5 thousand appeals. Including about 2 thousand from BELTA readers during the "Your Question to the President" campaign, which took place on February 27-28. In accordance with Alexander Lukashenko's instructions, work on considering appeals is under special control in the Presidential Administration.
