28 July, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The State Programme for Innovative Development for 2011-2015 has begun to be successfully implemented, stated Igor Voitov, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology, in an interview with BELTA correspondent. Today, he was receiving citizens in Vitebsk. Over six months, seven innovative enterprises have been established in Belarus under the innovative development programme, and the target indicator for the output of innovative products has been met at 12.7%, the head of the department reported. Currently, active work is underway to create the infrastructure for regional technoparks. For example, in the Vitebsk region, they will be established on the basis of the Vitebsk State Technological University and Polotsk State University. At the same time, according to Igor Voitov, enterprise managers need to make maximum use of the technical and scientific developments available in the country and more actively implement advanced foreign technologies. "Often, managers lack the enterprise to seek new ideas," he believes. The head of the department names the creation of new innovative enterprises that will allow for the production of export-oriented innovative products with high added value as the main tasks of the State Committee on Science and Technology at the current stage of economic development. The second task is the implementation and commercialisation of scientific ideas and developments. -0-
