Criminal cases were considered in circuit court sessions concerning residents of Lepel district who illegally acquired and possessed dangerous narcotic substances.
During the preliminary and judicial investigation, it was established that a resident of Borovka village, by purchase, intentionally, illegally, and without intent to sell, acquired particles of a green plant-based substance weighing 0.0028 grams, which is a dangerous narcotic drug – marijuana, and subsequently stored this substance in bushes near an administrative building.
The court of Lepel district, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, found the resident of Borovka village guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced him to restriction of liberty without direction to an open-type correctional institution for a term of 2 years and 6 months.
Also, a criminal case was considered concerning another resident of Borovka village, during which it was established that the man, by purchase, intentionally, illegally, and without intent to sell, acquired particles of a green-brown plant-based substance weighing 0.1503 grams, which is a dangerous narcotic drug – marijuana, and subsequently stored this substance in his apartment.
The court of Lepel district, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, found the man guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus and sentenced him to restriction of liberty without direction to an open-type correctional institution for a term of 2 years.
A criminal case has been initiated against the person who sold the aforementioned narcotic substances for the fact of selling a dangerous narcotic substance; a preliminary investigation is currently underway.
A check has been carried out on compliance with the requirements of legislation on the identification, registration, traceability of agricultural animals (herds), and identification and traceability of products of animal origin.
The Prosecutor's Office of Lepel District has conducted an inspection of compliance with the legislation on identification, registration, and traceability of farm animals (herds), and identification and traceability of animal products.
The inspection revealed that in the farms of OJSC "Ladosno", KUP SP "Lepelskoe", OJSC "Lyadno", OJSC "Chereyshchina", KSCP "Lepelchanka", the tagging of livestock has not been ensured, and work on entering information into the register and registering cattle has not commenced. These violations hinder the creation of conditions that ensure the obtaining of reliable information about farm animals (herds) and animal products in the agricultural organizations of Lepel District. Based on the inspection results, the District Prosecutor's Office has issued directives to the aforementioned farms, and the District Prosecutor has initiated disciplinary proceedings against the managers who failed to ensure compliance with the legislative requirements.
Inspection of Regulatory Requirements Compliance During Preparation of Grain Harvesting Machinery for the Harvest Campaign Conducted
The District Prosecutor's Office has conducted an inspection of compliance with regulatory requirements during the preparation of grain harvesting machinery for the harvest campaign. The inspection found that in some farms of Lepel District (OJSC "Ladosno", KUPSHP "Lepelskoe", SPP "Prozhektor", SPF "Zaozerie"), the available machinery is not ready for the harvest campaign, which could lead to mismanagement and inefficient use of agricultural machinery. The District Prosecutor has issued directives to eliminate the identified legislative violations. Following the review of these directives, the agricultural machinery has been prepared for field operations for the harvesting of crops.
