3 November, Vitebsk /Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. Tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region identified almost 40 business entities in January-September that practiced paying wages to employees "in envelopes". This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region. During operational checks, it was established that these business entities used the practice of paying wages to hired persons without concluding written employment contracts, including 36 violators who did not reflect wages in accounting and tax records. Also identified were 7 enterprises and organizations where wages were paid below the minimum guaranteed living wage, as well as 2 employers who did not pay wages at all. Based on these facts, tax inspectorates additionally accrued over Br23 million for payment to the budget, including Br3.4 million in fines and penalties. Following the control measures, 33 individual entrepreneurs were identified who illegally involved citizens who were not their close relatives in entrepreneurial activities. By decision of the economic court of the region, all violators were brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine totaling Br24.2 million. In addition, illegally obtained income from such activities in the amount of over Br35 million was confiscated to the state. -0-
