More than 64.4 thousand boys and girls will have the opportunity to rest and improve their health for six days during the autumn holidays in day camps. Funding for these purposes is allocated at a rate of Br3.80 per bed-day (as during the spring holidays).
Various health and educational activities aimed at the creative, social, and physical development of children are conducted in day camps. Game and entertainment programmes, sports festivals and competitions, and excursions are organised. Schoolchildren visit museums, exhibitions, theatres, and cinemas.
Special attention is paid to providing vouchers to children from large, low-income, and single-parent families, those in socially dangerous situations, foster and guardianship families, as well as those registered with the juvenile inspection.
Based on regional applications, it is planned to provide health improvement for 10.1 thousand schoolchildren in day camps during the autumn holidays in the Brest region, 11 thousand in the Vitebsk region, 9.3 thousand in the Gomel region, 5,415 in the Grodno region, 9,120 in the Minsk region, 9 thousand in the Mogilev region, and 10.5 thousand children in Minsk.
The operation of the camps is organised on the basis of general secondary education institutions, additional education for children and youth, and specialised educational and sports institutions.
