The Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus will issue four postage stamps from the series "II European Games 2019" on February 1, BELTA was informed by RUE "Belpochta".
The print run for the stamps is 120,000 each. They feature images of athletes competing in various sports, as well as the official logo and slogan of the Games.
The project was prepared with the assistance of the "Directorate of the II European Games 2019" fund.
On the day of issue, a special "First Day Cover" cancellation will be held at the post office No. 1 in Minsk (Philately shop, 16 Moskovskaya Street).
The II European Games will be held in Minsk from June 21 to 30 at 12 sports venues. More than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete for 199 sets of medals in 15 sports. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Games will take place at the Dinamo Stadium.
