Due to the complex road conditions from January 17 to 19, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct a preventive event "Road Without Dangers" on the territory of the Vitebsk region.

To reduce accidents and provide practical assistance, road patrol service units from the Grodno, Minsk, and Mogilev regions, as well as crews from the special unit of the Road Patrol Service "Strela" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, have been dispatched to the northern region. Work from the air is organised using unmanned aerial vehicles and additional mobile speed control sensors. Enhanced enforcement is planned for the R-45 "Polotsk-Glubokoe-Lithuanian border (Kotlovka)" highway.

Raid activities are aimed at preventing, detecting, and suppressing violations that provoke serious accidents. Special attention will be paid to the condition of winter tyres and ignoring traffic signals, compliance with speed limits, overtaking rules and entering the oncoming lane, crossing intersections, driving under the influence of alcohol and without a licence, and pedestrian compliance
