The supply of heating to social facilities in the Vitebsk region has commenced, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by Anatoly Sudak, Head of the Production and Technical Department of the Housing and Communal Services Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Due to a significant drop in outdoor air temperature, by order of the operational group of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, heating is being switched on today in the region for preschool institutions, hospitals, maternity hospitals, polyclinics, and other social facilities. Anatoly Sudak noted that "this is not an instantaneous process, so the heat may appear today or within the next few days." This week, according to weather forecasters, the air temperature in the Vitebsk region will steadily approach zero degrees Celsius. "Therefore, it is possible that from October 12 onwards, a phased connection of residential buildings to the heating system will begin in the region," added the Head of the Production and Technical Department. -0-
