15 November, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. The suspect in the case of the explosion near the KGB building in Vitebsk has been released. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Investigative Committee of Belarus. The Investigative Committee noted that in the first days of the investigation into the explosion near the KGB department building for the Vitebsk region, more than 60 people were interviewed, and one person was detained on suspicion of involvement in the commission of the crime. After carrying out verification measures, this person was released. The investigation is ongoing, all versions of the incident are being worked through, and an explosive technical examination is being conducted. On November 11, at 18:48, a primitive homemade pyrotechnic device detonated near the KGB department building for the Vitebsk region, causing damage to two windows of the administrative building. According to preliminary estimates, the device was a cardboard or plastic tube filled with 50-70 g of pyrotechnic mixture and placed in a metal can with a capacity of 0.25-0.33 l without striking elements. It was activated by ignition. A criminal case was initiated based on this fact under Article 339 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (hooliganism). -0-
