This was announced today at a briefing by Vladimir Shalukhin, Head of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. On the sixth day after the discovery of the body of a man born in 1992, an individual suspected of this brutal crime was identified during operational and investigative actions. He turned out to be a resident of Vitebsk born in 1971, previously convicted of vehicle theft (conviction expunged. - Ed. BELTA). According to the investigation, the suspect acted out of mercenary motives. Material evidence of his crime has been found. The suspect will be charged in the coming days. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 139 "Murder" of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
