President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 273 "On stimulating the use of electric vehicles" on July 10. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document provides for measures aimed at stimulating demand for electric vehicles, as well as the creation of charging and service infrastructure.
In particular, it is envisaged to exempt from customs duties for issuing permits for electric vehicles to participate in road traffic; value added tax on the import of charging devices not produced in the country into the territory of Belarus.
The state operator for the creation and development of a charging network for electric vehicles will be RUP "PO "Belorusneft", which will ensure the development and implementation of the relevant program.
