Vitebsk region brought a substantial portfolio of joint projects with Russian partners from the International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM. Belarus". This includes both existing and emerging projects. The dialogue was lively, with meetings following one after another.

During their two-day visit to Minsk, a representative delegation from the northern region, led by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, held a series of constructive meetings. The objective was to strengthen interregional and international cooperation, build new cooperative chains, and outline joint projects.

Leading enterprises of the region presented their best developments at the international venue. Among them were OJSC "Naftan", "Polotsk-Steklovolokno", "Krasny Borets", "VISTAN", LLC "PO "Energokomplekt", UP "Polimerkonstruktsiya", ChP TUP "Vitstroytekhmash", LLC "FoErEm Systems", SOOO "Novopolotsk Plant of Technological Metal Structures", and others.

Separate issues were discussed on the sidelines of "INNOPROM" in Minsk by the leadership with the governors of Ulyanovsk and Smolensk regions, Alexey Russkikh and Vasily Anokhin, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Alexander Rogozhnik.

We remind you that on the opening day of the exhibition, Alexander Subbotin joined the round table "International Cooperation in Industrial Innovations – Dialogue of Counterparts" and held a meeting with the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region.

– There is a large number of prospects for our further cooperation in all areas, from science and education to heavy industry. It is gratifying to note that life itself suggests projects. Between our two meetings in Nizhny Novgorod and Minsk, several projects have already emerged – including the creation of a joint portal crane plant and scientific projects, – said Alexander Subbotin.

The interaction between enterprises was established at the international venue spontaneously, he added. The heads of the regions are left to strengthen it and provide enterprises with opportunities to get acquainted with each other.

– We have developed very warm, friendly, and working relationships with the Vitebsk region, – noted Alexey Russkikh. – In the spring of this year, a delegation from the Vitebsk region visited a number of industrial enterprises in the Ulyanovsk region. As a result, several agreements were concluded regarding the supply of products from the aviation industry of the Vitebsk region to our enterprises. Our Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau, which produces avionics for aircraft, is closely cooperating with OJSC "Izmeritel". Ulyanovsk Automobile and Mechanical Plants have held a series of negotiations with suppliers from the northern region of Belarus. I am confident that fruitful cooperation will also be established here.

Alexey Russkikh invited Alexander Subbotin to visit his region. He also announced plans to organise a business mission of Ulyanovsk enterprises to the Vitebsk region.

On the sidelines of "INNOPROM. Belarus", the Vitebsk and Smolensk regions signed a cooperation agreement on the creation of a trade and exhibition centre for Belarusian manufacturers in the Russian region. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development and deepening of trade and economic ties, in particular, the expansion of sales markets and support for local producers. In addition, the establishment of the trading house will ensure the creation of new jobs.

According to Governor Vasily Anokhin, the Smolensk region is interested in developing cooperation with the Vitebsk region in the spheres of industry and trade. Joint events for experience exchange and investment attraction have been planned.

Enterprises from the Vitebsk region returned from Minsk with a solid package of developments and agreements, having concluded new contracts with Russian colleagues. In particular, OJSC "Naftan" signed a memorandum with LLC "Polyplast Novomoskovsk", which envisages the development of cooperation in the supply of raw materials and the production of import-substituting products.

The production association "Energokomplekt" offered Russian partners innovations in the field of cable products.

– The production association "Energokomplekt" maintains its reputation as a reliable supplier, whose product quality is highly appreciated by end consumers. The product range exceeds 200 thousand types and sizes. In recent years, the company has mastered the production of: power and control cables for use in electrical installations in explosive environments, cables for submersible electric pump units for oil production, mining cables, water-cooled cables.

"Participation in international exhibitions such as 'INNOPROM. Belarus' is important for the enterprise, as it allows not only to present its new developments but also to strengthen cooperation with existing partners and find new ones," the enterprise noted.

The Novopolotsk Plant of Technological Metal Structures also focused on innovative products, presenting welded grating.

"The practical results of participating in exhibitions are visible in the longer term. 'INNOPROM' was active, lively, and attracted a large audience of interested potential partners from different countries. It is a valuable experience of communication with industry colleagues, thanks to which the enterprise has gained many new contacts. We hope that these business connections will subsequently allow us to find new avenues for cooperation and reliable partners," emphasized Maria Fridrikh, Head of the Marketing Department at the Novopolotsk Plant of Technological Metal Structures.

'INNOPROM' debuted successfully in our country: 520 companies from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan participated. The exhibition, organised by the relevant ministries of Belarus and Russia, was visited by over 14,000 people. The next 'INNOPROM' is scheduled for February 8-10, 2026, in Saudi Arabia.
