The interregional festival of disabled people's creativity "Zorka Nadzei" has expanded its reach. For the current – eighth – time, it has gathered participants from eight cities of the region in the Lepel district.

For the current – eighth – time, it has gathered participants from eight cities of the region in the Lepel district. From theatrical miniatures to rhythmic performances – each team tried to surprise the audience with something special.
The celebration began in the foyer with an exhibition of decorative and applied arts. Collages, kanzashi, oil paintings, embroidery, straw and bead crafts, origami, knitted items – the authors chose diverse techniques, themes, and styles for their works. By the way, visitors could purchase small souvenirs directly at the exhibition by obtaining a lottery ticket.
The day before "Zorka Nadzei," people with disabilities participated for about six hours in the regional festival-competition of disabled people's creativity. Notably, Denis Obelushko from Lepel took second place at this event. However, the enthusiasm and optimism of the contestants did not suggest that they were exhausted by previous performances or lacked energy.
At "Zorka Nadzei," participants from Novolukoml showcased both fast and slow dances. Natalia Tomasheva, the head of their group "Parus Nadezhdy" (Sail of Hope) and a specialist at the social adaptation and rehabilitation department of the Chashniki Territorial Social Service Center, decided to disprove the stereotype that people with disabilities do not dance back in January of last year. It was then that she organized the group "Klyuch k Zdorovyu" (Key to Health) at the center. They started with floor stretches and simple movements – and it took off… Natalia Nikolaevna, who had worked for 32 years as the head of the exemplary ensemble "Svetlyachok" (Firefly) at the Palace of Culture in Vitebsk, developed the wellness program herself. Now, their group has ten members, and they have rehearsed five numbers. One of the compositions even features a wheelchair user. Incidentally, they returned from the current regional festival-competition of disabled people's creativity with third place in the "choreographic art" nomination.
The theatrical and musical club "Kolobok" of the Lepel Territorial Center for Social Services for the Population also made its dance debut. The first chords of music – men in white shirts and black bow ties, and women in evening dresses appear on stage… They perform an old English folk dance – the "contradanse". Our children also prepared a short play "How the Little Mouse Prepared to Get Married". The costumes had speaking elements, and the plot was instructive – they thought through their production well.
Original songs, literary and musical compositions – the guests also brought interesting performances. There was a place for poetic creativity at the festival: Vladimir Lukashevich from Orsha told a folk anecdote, and Lyudmila Medvedeva, a regular participant from the town of Ushachi, recited two poems.
From songs to dances – the festival participants once again proved that they can do a lot…
