To prevent fires and fatalities, the propaganda inspector of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations organised an information and educational stand called "Safety Post" in the food shops of the agro-town of Stai.

Here, the inspector conducted explanatory work with each customer, teaching them how to prevent fires in their homes and protect their health, life, and property from fire.

During the preventive talks, the rescuer from the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed customers about fires that had occurred in the district, explained their causes, and demonstrated the autonomous fire alarm, which proves its worth annually by saving dozens of lives.

Special attention during the safety talks was paid to the rules for operating stoves, domestic boilers, electric heaters, and all electrical appliances used in everyday life.

The representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also reminded people of the potential consequences of the "cigarette + alcohol" combination and explained how to prevent fire hazards while smoking.

Along with their groceries, people took home useful safety knowledge. They were given thematic leaflets with important life safety recommendations as souvenirs.
