Polotsk-Steklovolokno Open Joint Stock Company plans to complete the construction project of a workshop for the production of thermochemically treated electrical insulating materials for foil dielectrics in the first quarter of 2020. This was announced to journalists by the company's General Director Andrey Bunakov, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.

"Our enterprise is export-oriented (92% of products are supplied abroad), which dictates its own conditions. We monitor market trends, and the construction of this workshop is a necessary step. It will give us the opportunity to additionally process 2 million square meters of glass fabric, which will be in demand in the promising market of foil dielectrics, used to make printed circuit boards. The radio electronics industry, where they are used, is actively growing. In the first quarter of 2020, we plan to fully commission the new workshop," said the General Director.

He added that the enterprise pays attention to all areas of activity. The implementation of projects for the modernization of glass melting furnace No. 9 is currently being completed. The first stage of the facility was commissioned at the end of July 2018. Work on the second stage is currently underway. The reconstruction of glass melting furnace No. 5 for the production of silica fiber is also being completed. In addition, the enterprise intends to modernize the production of high-temperature resistant products.
