On June 6, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Polotsk Dairy Plant has invested over Br10 billion in production development in January-May, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the plant director Vladimir Yatskevich.
The funds are allocated for the implementation of two projects. In particular, the milk packaging unit at the plant is currently being modernised, for which Slovak equipment has been purchased. Commissioning is planned for the current month. The implementation of this project will increase the capacity of this unit by 20% and significantly improve working conditions for employees.
In addition, new equipment worth €450,000 has been purchased for the dry milk workshop for the milk thickening unit. Its launch will increase production productivity by 10% and reduce energy consumption for product manufacturing by 30-35%. The project completion deadline is the third quarter.
In 2012, the enterprise also intends to modernise the ammonia refrigeration unit in the compressor workshop. Design and estimate documentation is being developed.
In January-May of the current year, the plant produced products worth Br188 billion, which is more than 2.7 times the figures for the same period last year. Exports during this period increased by 10% to $10.5 million.
The enterprise was founded in 1987. The product range includes over 70 types of dairy products, which are produced under the "Molochnoe Razdolye" trademark. The average number of employees is over 760 people. -0-
