The Government has approved the regulations on the republican public security monitoring system and the procedure for connecting to it. The Government has approved the regulations on the republican public security monitoring system and the procedure for connecting to it. The relevant decision is contained in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus No. 841 of November 10, 2017, published today on the National Legal Portal, BELTA reports.
The regulations govern the tasks and functions of the monitoring system, the overall operation of the system and the technical operator, as well as the procedure for connecting to the system. This resolution shall enter into force after its official publication.
As reported, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, jointly with interested state bodies, within the framework of implementing Decree No. 187 of May 25, 2017 "On the Republican Public Security Monitoring System," developed and submitted to the Council of Ministers draft documents that will define the legal framework for the system's operation and the procedure for connecting to it. They will also ensure that legislative acts are brought into line with this decree. After the adoption of these documents, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the users of the monitoring system will determine the procedure and organize the process of selecting a technical operator on a competitive basis.
The users of the monitoring system are defined as internal affairs bodies, state security bodies, border service bodies, emergency response bodies and units, customs authorities, financial investigation bodies of the State Control Committee, the Security Service of the President of Belarus, and the Operational-Analytical Centre under the President.
