From January 1, 2011, citizens of Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine will be able to work in Poland without a work permit, news agencies report. Polish Minister of Labour Jolanta Fedak signed an ordinance under which foreigners will work in the country solely on the basis of a document from the employer. Obtaining a work permit will not be required. The employer must notify the regional labour office of their intention to employ a citizen of one of these countries and register an application for the employment of a foreigner there. -0-
