The principles of Polish-Belarusian relations should be mutual respect, non-interference, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation and friendship between Slavic peoples. This was stated by the chairman of the "Patriotic Poland" party, chairman of the presidium of the National Council, Paweł Ziemiński, in his congratulations to Alexander Lukashenko on his victory in the presidential elections, BELTA reports.
"We extend our most sincere congratulations on your victory and re-election to the post of President of the Republic of Belarus by the overwhelming majority of the Belarusian people with an impressive voter turnout," emphasized Paweł Ziemiński. "We convey congratulations on behalf of the authorities and members of the 'Patriotic Poland' party, but, as we know, they coincide with the views of a huge mass of Poles who are well-disposed towards Belarus and the fraternal Belarusian people. The policy and personal approach of the President, who steadfastly upholds the sovereignty of the state, compliance with international law and the rights of peoples to self-determination and independence in shaping domestic and foreign policy, as well as forging his own path to societal prosperity, has long been respected by Poles."
"In recent months, your resolute resistance to the use of the epidemic for global manipulation of people and entire nations, as well as the cynical use of the epidemic for economic and political purposes, has been perceived with admiration for your courage and responsibility. This creates hope that rational and sovereign relations are still possible and should serve as an example for other leaders and peoples," said Paweł Ziemiński.
"Despite the 'media noise' hostile towards you and Belarus, and the attempts by the Polish authorities, often incomprehensible to most Poles, to interfere in the internal affairs of Belarus, the principles of bilateral Polish-Belarusian relations should be mutual respect, non-interference, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation and friendship between our Slavic peoples," the head of the Polish party is confident.
