Diana Tratsyevskaya, Assistant Prosecutor of Lepel District, participated in a quiz competition dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War and reflecting the heroic feat of the Belarusian people. The event was held at the Educational Institution "Borovskaya Secondary School named after G.K. Zhukov of Lepel District" for students of grades 9-11.

"A careful attitude towards one's history and fostering patriotism in the younger generation are the goals of civil patriotic education for students," noted the representative of the supervisory authority.
The event was held with the aim of preserving historical memory and cultivating in young people a value-based attitude towards the heroic and, at the same time, sorrowful past of the country. Schoolchildren answered questions about the atrocities of the Nazi invaders, concentration camps, burned villages, and the feat of the people who endured the difficult years of the war.
