The procedure for controlling the passage of heavy and (or) oversized vehicles on public roads is being improved in Belarus. The corresponding Decree No. 14 "On the Dynamic Weighing System" was signed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on January 11, the press service of the Belarusian leader informed BELTA.

The Decree provides for the transfer of the dynamic weighing system, created within the framework of the project "Improvement and Modernization of the Road", to the operational management of the state institution "Belavtostrada".

The created dynamic weighing system allows, without stopping the traffic flow, to identify vehicles moving with exceeding permissible weight parameters.

Subsequently, the relevant information will be sent to the state institution "Transport Inspectorate of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus", which will use it when controlling the passage of heavy and (or) oversized vehicles on public roads.

The system will ensure constant monitoring of all vehicles for exceeding permissible weight parameters in motion and will stop only those vehicles that, according to preliminary data, exceed the permissible weight parameters.
