On 29 September, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. The Government of Belarus has approved the regulations on the procedure for the disposal of non-operational vehicles recognised as ownerless. The corresponding decision is contained in the Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 1294 of 27 September 2011, BelTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian government. According to the resolution, the disposal of non-operational vehicles is carried out by specialised organisations subordinate to the Ministry of Industry, which have a relevant permit for the procurement (purchase) of ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap and waste. The handover of abandoned vehicles for disposal will be carried out by local executive and administrative bodies, with the provision of a copy of the court decision recognising the non-operational vehicles as ownerless and transferring them to the ownership of the respective administrative-territorial units to the specialised organisations. Specialised organisations shall arrange for the acceptance of non-operational vehicles for disposal as ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap in accordance with the requirements of STB 2026-2010 "Ferrous secondary metals. General technical conditions", GOST 1639-78 "Scrap and waste of non-ferrous metals and alloys. General technical conditions", taking into account the actual contamination with non-metallic components. Settlements for scrap metal delivered as part of non-operational vehicles shall be made according to the price list in accordance with agreements between specialised organisations and local executive and administrative bodies. Specialised organisations must maintain separate records of scrap metal received as part of non-operational vehicles. The resolution comes into force on 1 January 2012. The regulations have been developed in accordance with the Decree of the President of 9 August 2011 No. 348 "On measures to organise the collection, storage of non-operational vehicles and their subsequent disposal".-0-
