May 9, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Address of the President to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly is a tactical and strategic document for the further development of the country. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets. According to the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, the President delivered a very strong address, in which he fully characterized the domestic and foreign policy of the state, its socio-economic development, and clearly showed what Belarus is striving for. "First of all, the head of state conceptually focused on issues of international cooperation. Whoever tries to influence the Belarusian people, it is useless: we cannot be broken. Only through dialogue, agreements, building friendly relations on the principles of mutual respect and partnership can success be achieved in politics. It is necessary to give an objective assessment of the processes taking place in Belarus, because our people deserve respectful treatment: we have always worked peacefully and did not claim any conquests," said Alexander Kosinets. "The head of state's address emphasized the development of the country's potential through modernization, the creation of modern enterprises, and the introduction of innovations in the production sector and the agro-industrial complex, which will increase the competitiveness of Belarusian products and thereby improve people's quality of life," noted the governor. In the Vitebsk region, 228 dairy farms will be modernized for this purpose. In total, 103 new farms are planned to be built during the current five-year period. "The address also noted the need for cooperation with the leading countries of the world, examined in detail the issues related to export-import relations, and paid special attention to the development of housing construction as a locomotive for the entire economy. Thus, the President fully covered the economic block of issues, gave a detailed characteristic of development approaches, and set relevant tasks. At the same time, one of the most important is to reach an average salary of $500 by the end of the year," stated the head of the region, noting that the Vitebsk region is carrying out targeted work to reach an average salary of $400 by the end of the first half of the year.
