Today is a landmark day for the Zaslonovskaya Secondary School in Lepel District. The educational institution is being opened today after modernization in a grand, festive, loud, and vibrant manner. The capital repairs were made possible through the implementation of the second construction phase within the project "Modernization of the Education System of the Republic of Belarus".
The significance of this event is underscored by the calibre of guests who have arrived in the Lepel region today.
The event is attended by the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sergeenko, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant-General Viktor Khrenin, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, Dmitry Khoma, Head of the Main Department for Education of the Regional Executive Committee, the Chairman of the Lepel District Executive Committee, Mikhail Kiselevich, the Chief of Staff - First Deputy Commander of the North-Western Operational Command, Colonel Vadim Shadura, as well as the Commander of the 19th Guards Separate Mechanized Brigade, Guards Colonel Dmitry Burdukevich.
As is customary, the distinguished guests were welcomed with warmth and great hospitality. Subsequently, the participants of the celebration proceeded to the school's assembly hall for a round table discussion titled "We have something to be proud of, we have something to cherish".
Incidentally, the building of the Zaslonovskaya Secondary School was commissioned in 1953. Currently, the school employs 32 teachers and educates 225 students, with specialized training offered in physics, mathematics, chemistry, and biology. In 2022, 78% of the school's graduates became students of higher education institutions in medical, pedagogical, agricultural, and technical fields.
As part of the "Modernization of the Education System of the Republic of Belarus" project, modernization and capital repairs were carried out at the educational institution. The first construction phase was completed in 2021. During that period, thermal rehabilitation and facade painting works were performed, and building illumination was installed. The heating unit, fire alarm system, and video surveillance system were completely replaced. The entrance area was renovated, and windows and entrance doors were replaced.
