The strongest racers from Belarus and Russia will gather in Vitebsk on 29-30 October for the Belarusian Autocross Cup, traditionally dedicated to the Day of the Motorist and Road Worker. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the chairman of the regional organizational structure of DOSAAF, Vasily Korobov. The race in Vitebsk is the final event of the motorsport season in Belarus, so all the strongest racers, as a rule, do not miss the opportunity to compete on the track of the regional centre before the winter break. According to preliminary data, about 40 crews are planned to participate, including some from regions of Russia. For the first time, athletes will compete for awards in five car classes. Alongside the traditional races in the "D1", "D1-Junior", "D2", and "National-2000" classes, the organisers have decided to include races in the "D3-Sprint" class for buggy cars, outside the Cup standings. The competitions will take place in the suburb of the regional centre, Tula, on a 1.3 km track, which allows 16 cars to participate in the races simultaneously. Winners will be determined in individual and team championships. On 29 October, participants in the "D1" and "National-2000" classes will start. On 30 October, the final races in the "D1-Junior", "D2", and "D3-Sprint" ("buggy") classes will be held. -0-
