A guide for innovative entrepreneurs has been developed in Vitebsk, the director of ODO "Vitebsk Business Centre" Leonid Shur told a BELTA correspondent. The reference and analytical guide includes basic concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation, a list of business and innovation infrastructure entities, useful information and recommendations. It is available online. Its creators promise to regularly supplement and update the information in connection with changes in legislation and factual circumstances, as well as to release a printed version. The guide is the result of the project "Development of an innovative development strategy for small and medium-sized enterprises in Vitebsk", which ODO "Vitebsk Business Centre" implemented with the support of the Kunyavsky Business Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers in 2012, the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and the Public Association "Association of Employers and Entrepreneurs". As the main strategy for the innovative development of entrepreneurship in Vitebsk, a growth strategy is proposed, which is based on the use of the region's own scientific and business potential with a focus on predominantly external demand: the export of innovative products produced on the basis of scientific developments. According to Leonid Shur, it is time to introduce the word "enterpreneurinnovator" into the economic vocabulary. "An enterpreneurinnovator is an entrepreneur and an innovator in one person. An entrepreneur can become an innovator. An innovator can become an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur and an innovator can cooperate. Such transformations increase business stability and contribute to the economic growth of the region," the interlocutor is convinced. The State Program for Innovative Development of Belarus for 2011-2015 includes seven projects for Vitebsk for the creation of enterprises and key industries, new production facilities at existing enterprises, and the modernization of production facilities based on the introduction of new and high technologies. These include the construction of biogas power plants, the organisation of production of hydraulic lifts made of high-strength steel, the production of an automated multifunctional fluorescent analyser for biological cells and tissues with high resolution, and the organisation of a modern enterprise for the disposal and processing of municipal solid waste.-0-
