On January 5, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. JSC "Postavy Dairy Plant" plans to launch a new cheese production workshop by the end of 2012, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. The new production facility, which is essentially a mini-plant for the production of hard cheeses with a capacity of 20 tons/day, will be located on a vacant site near the administrative building of the enterprise. Currently, the foundation of the future workshop, measuring 48x96 m, has already been laid, and underground utilities have been installed. In the coming days, it is planned to commence construction and installation work on the workshop building itself, which will be assembled from metal structures. The enterprise has already acquired the main technological line of Czech production for cheese manufacturing, and within the year, the plant will additionally purchase auxiliary equipment for refrigeration, purification, and milk preparation. Last year, the plant produced products worth Br103 billion, or 175% compared to 2010. Sales profitability was 4%, and exports increased by 30% to $9.4 million. Products were supplied to Russia, Germany, Poland, Singapore, and Lithuania. The share of exports in revenue from sales was 40%, and the energy saving indicator was minus 6%. The volume of investments planned for 2012 is over Br50 billion. In 2011, Br60 billion was invested in the development of production at the Postavy enterprise. The main volume of funds was directed towards the implementation of the project for the creation of new cheese production. The construction of new treatment facilities, divided into two stages, also became a significant project for the enterprise. The first launch complex of this project, completed in December, included the construction of treatment facilities, an access road, a sewage pumping station, power supply to the treatment facilities, installation of pressure pipelines for treated wastewater, and replacement of the existing sewage collector. Its cost was about Br8 billion. The second launch complex, which includes the construction of pressure pipelines for treated wastewater from the tie-in point to the existing biological ponds of the plant, is planned to be completed in the first half of the current year.
