On December 11, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Open Joint Stock Company "Postavy Dairy Plant" has completed the construction of new treatment facilities, the chief engineer of the enterprise, Georgy Kosten, informed BELTA correspondent. Currently, commissioning works are being completed at this facility. The treatment facilities will be put into operation in the second half of December, Georgy Kosten said. The project for the construction of treatment facilities was implemented over 2011-2012 in two stages. The first start-up complex of this project, completed in December last year, included the construction of treatment facilities, an access road, a sewage pumping station, power supply to the treatment facilities, laying of pressure pipelines for treated wastewater, and replacement of the existing sewage collector. Its cost was about Br8 billion. The second stage, with an investment volume of Br3.5 billion, included the construction of pressure pipelines for treated wastewater from the tie-in point to the existing biological ponds of the plant. The design capacity of the treatment facilities is 450 cubic meters per day with discharge to existing biological ponds, and then into the Myadelka River. The construction was carried out within the framework of regional measures for the rational use of natural resources and environmental protection of the Vitebsk region for 2011-2015. The implementation of the project will solve the issue of effective treatment of specific wastewater and improve the environmental situation in Postavy. In January-November 2012, the enterprise produced products worth Br176 billion, or 192.2% compared to the same period in 2011. Products worth $8.5 million were exported during the reporting period. Supplies were made to Russia, Germany, and Poland. The share of exports in revenue from sales for January-October was 28%. The energy saving indicator is minus 7.5%. The investment volume for ten months reached Br55 billion. The main volume of these funds was directed to the project for the creation of a new cheese production facility with a capacity of 20 tons of cheese per day. The enterprise was founded in 1963. It was corporatized in 1998. It specializes in the production of cheeses, whole milk products, and casein, and also produces ice cream and mayonnaise – more than 40 types of products in total. The range of whole milk products includes over 20 types. The plant's cheese production capacity is currently 1.5 tons per day. -0-
