Receipts from the gambling tax in actual prices in January-April of the current year, compared to the same period last year, increased by Br1.3 billion in the Vitebsk region, the press service of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. In January-April 2012, the consolidated budget of the Vitebsk region received Br4.5 billion in gambling tax, which accounted for 0.3% of the total receipts in the region. Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase in gambling tax receipts in actual prices by Br1.3 billion. On the territory of the Vitebsk region, 12 business entities engaged in the gambling business are registered, of which 5 are registered with the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate of the Republic of Belarus for the Oktyabrsky District of Vitebsk, and a total of 10 such entities are registered with inspectorates in the regional center. One more taxpayer of this tax is located in the territory of Novopolotsk and Polotsk. As of May 1, 2012, there were 1083 gambling business facilities located on the territory of the Vitebsk region. -0-
