Receipts of the gambling tax in the Vitebsk region for 9 months have more than doubled compared to the same period in 2011, the press service of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. The consolidated budget of the Vitebsk region received almost Br16 billion in gambling tax for January-September, which accounted for 0.2% of the total receipts in the region. Compared to the same period last year, there has been an increase in gambling tax receipts at current prices by Br8.6 billion. At the same time, the growth rate reached 216.6%. According to tax inspectorates, 9 business entities engaged in gambling activities are registered in the Vitebsk region, of which 8 are registered with the tax authorities in Vitebsk and one in Novopolotsk. As of October 1 of the current year, there are 1001 objects of taxation subject to gambling tax in the Vitebsk region. -0-
