Given the start of spring holidays for schoolchildren, the State Automobile Inspectorate strongly urges parents to remind young pedestrians and cyclists of the rules of conduct, including in courtyard areas, and also, while supervising teenagers' leisure activities, not to leave car and motorcycle keys in free access.
Particular attention should be paid to ensuring the safe transportation of children to recreation areas. When travelling by car, do not forget that children under 12 years of age must be transported using a special restraint device corresponding to their weight and height, and older children should be fastened with a standard seat belt.
We remind drivers that 80% of traffic accidents involving children are caused by adults. Therefore, when you see children near the roadway, reduce your speed and be prepared to stop at any moment. Drive at minimum speed in courtyards.
