February 6, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The possibility of increasing the tariff rate directly depends on the performance of the economy. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Petr Grushnik, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.
According to him, the schedule for increasing the tariff rate of the first category has not yet been approved. This issue will be considered throughout the year, taking into account the performance of the economy. The government makes the decision on the increase.
Petr Grushnik recalled that since January 1, 2013, the tariff rate of the first category for the remuneration of employees of budget organizations and other organizations receiving subsidies, whose employees are equated in remuneration to employees of budget organizations, amounts to Br240 thousand in Belarus. "It (the tariff rate. - BELTA's note) today performs the functions necessary to resolve all issues related to wages in the public sector. There are no delays in this regard. Everything depends on our work: depending on this, we will have an economic result and, naturally, the possibility of increasing the tariff rate," said the First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection. -0-
