13 April, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The increase in the first category tariff rate depends on the economic performance. This was stated to journalists by the First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Belarus, Petr Grushnik, who is participating in the republican scientific and practical seminar "New opportunities for employers in choosing forms and systems of remuneration in the context of liberalisation of economic activities of commercial organisations" in Vitebsk, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.
"The Government decides on increasing the first category tariff rate depending on the financial and economic conditions of the republic," said the First Deputy Minister. This issue is not off the agenda, but it directly depends on the economic performance, added Petr Grushnik.
The last increase of this standard occurred in Belarus on 1 January 2012: the first category tariff rate for the remuneration of employees of budget organisations and other organisations receiving subsidies, whose employees are equated in remuneration to employees of budget organisations, was increased from Br151 thousand to Br200 thousand, or by 32.5%. -0-
