DEAR FOREST INDUSTRY WORKERS AND VETERANS!
Traditionally, Forest Workers' Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of September. And on the eve of this day, I want to congratulate you on your professional holiday.
Serving the forest is a special calling that demonstrates strength of character, fortitude, and a love for beauty, as forest industry workers do not shy away from challenges but faithfully perform their duties, preserving and enhancing the forest wealth of their native region.
The main task is to grow and preserve green wealth. Behind this seemingly simple statement lies a vast amount of work, from harvesting forest seed material, growing seedlings, preparing soil, to creating forest crops and caring for them.
Protecting forests from fires, diseases, and pests is another crucial task facing the industry today.
Our forest protection service is also working under conditions of abnormal heat this year. The people of Lepel are coping admirably. As a result, not a single forest fire has been recorded in the forest areas of the Lepel district throughout the entire fire-hazardous season.
The successes of the forestry sector are the result of the strenuous work and dedicated service of many generations of foresters. Therefore, we do not forget the workers who, for many years, invested their strength and knowledge in the development of the forestry industry and are now retired. I want to extend special words of gratitude to the labour veterans, who are the honour and pride of the forest industry.
You, forest workers, know better than anyone that truly worthwhile results can only be achieved together.
Today, your industry is one to be emulated. Thanks to your labour, strength, and patience, the district, the region, and the entire country are becoming more beautiful, and we are proud of this.
And today, you are a true team of professionals, united and cohesive, responsible for the preservation of the country's most important natural resource.
We face numerous challenges ahead. I am confident that thanks to your experience and professionalism, we will be able to overcome them.
I sincerely thank you for your dedicated, noble, and vitally important work, the result of which is the nature of our native land surrounding us. It is you who do everything to ensure that future generations: our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren can enjoy its richness and beauty.
I wish you robust health, well-being, and that your challenging work receives due reward. May your work bring you pleasure, optimism, and inspiration for future achievements for the benefit of our native Lepel region and Belarus.
Happy upcoming holiday!
