  This state holiday is a tribute to the momentous historical event of September 17, 1939, when cohesion, patriotism, and love for our native land helped to reunite and strengthen Belarusian statehood.

  The turns of history have repeatedly tested our Fatherland, but the unity of the people, based on love for the Motherland, has always prevailed.

  September 17 is a date that gave millions of Belarusians a sense of national cohesion and became an impetus for new achievements. Today, this holiday – the Day of National Unity – is also a symbol for those who want to see Belarus peaceful, strong, and independent!

  This holiday is filled with deep meaning, reminds us of the traditions of national accord, emphasizes the continuity of generations, the invincibility and self-sufficiency of the Belarusian nation and statehood. It is a priceless legacy for children and grandchildren – to protect the sovereignty of our country, peace, and unity on our native land.

  May this day become an occasion for each of us to reflect on our personal contribution to strengthening unity and accord in our republic. After all, we are all responsible for the present and future of our region, our small homeland, and therefore, for the Fatherland as a whole.
