On February 5, around 9 p.m., the rescue service received a report of a house fire on Dzerzhinsky Street in the town of Lepel.
When rescuers arrived at the scene, smoke and fire were observed inside a two-apartment, single-story residential building.
As a result of the fire, the roof, ceiling, walls, and property in apartment No. 1 were damaged; apartment No. 2 was not affected.
There were no casualties.
The cause of the fire is being established. The presumed cause of the fire is the violation of the rules for the operation of electrical networks and electrical equipment.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: fires can be avoided by observing fire safety rules. Do not use faulty or dilapidated electrical wiring. In case of fire, call 101 or 112 immediately. Provide your name, surname, address, and the cause of the emergency, and also report if there are people in the burning premises.
