On February 6, at approximately 8 p.m., the rescue service received a report of a garage fire in the village of Zvezda, Staysky Selsoviet.
When rescuers arrived at the scene, open burning of the garage was observed.
As a result of the fire, the garage suffered damage to the roof and ceiling, walls were smoke-stained, and property was damaged.
The cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the cause of the fire is a violation of the rules for operating stoves, heat-generating units, and devices.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds: it is extremely dangerous to leave heating stoves unattended. It is forbidden to use flammable and highly flammable liquids for ignition. Also, do not forget about the mandatory presence of a non-combustible sheet measuring 0.7 by 0.5 meters near the firebox. Do not dry clothes near a heating stove. Timely monitor the cleanliness of the chimney and prevent its blockage. When operating a brick stove, it is necessary to regularly monitor its condition. Cracks, chips, or falling bricks from the firebox or chimney are not allowed. Compliance with these rules will protect you and your property.

For failure to comply with fire safety rules, citizens may be brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 23.56 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, which entails a warning or a fine of up to thirty basic units.
