On June 30, at 2:38 AM, rescuers received a report of a fire at the "Kopeyechka" shop located at 34 Chuykov Street in Lepel.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency services observed open burning of the grocery store, which belongs to the "Krichev" branch of CJSC "Dobronom". At the time of the fire, there was no one in the store, and no one was injured.
The fire was extinguished by rescuers. The fire destroyed the roof, ceiling, and property within the store building, and damaged the walls.
The store premises were equipped with an automatic fire alarm system with an audible notification system for visitors.
A check is being conducted regarding this incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that equipping facilities with an automatic fire alarm system can reduce the risk of adverse consequences (loss of life, significant material damage) in case of ignition and fires.
It is important to remember that one of the conditions for ensuring the operability of automatic fire systems is the high-quality performance of their technical maintenance within the established deadlines.
It is important to know that only organisations holding special permits (licenses) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus of the established sample for carrying out this type of activity are allowed to perform technical maintenance, design, and installation of automatic fire systems.
