Upon arrival at the scene, open burning of the house roof was observed. The house is wooden, 6x8 m, with a slate roof on a wooden lathing, and is electrified.
The owner, born in 1952, is a pensioner, lives alone, and was in the house at the time of the fire. According to neighbours, he is characterised satisfactorily.
At 00:49, rescuers saved (removed from the smoke-filled area) the owner from a 3x4 m room. After examination by the ambulance crew, he did not require hospitalisation. There were no casualties.
As a result of the fire, the roof, the house wall, and property were damaged.
The cause of the fire is being established.
