On 21.07.2017 at 7:27 AM, the Central Operations Department of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations received a report of a house fire located at: Lepel District, Prudok village.
Upon arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units at the fire scene, open burning of the residential house was observed. As a result of the house fire, the roof, ceiling, walls, and property were damaged. The owner, born in 1949, a pensioner, thanks to the activation of the autonomous fire alarm, left the house independently and was not injured. The cause of the fire is being established.
Thanks to the alarm, over 100 lives are saved annually in the country. This means that the importance of the alarm cannot be underestimated. It will react even to a low concentration of smoke in the air, regardless of whether the source of the fire is inside the house or penetrates from outside through building structures, entrance doors, or windows. It constantly monitors the smoke concentration in the room and, when it exceeds the critical level, emits a loud, piercing alarm signal with a power of 85 dB, capable of waking a soundly sleeping person and drowning out any sound of operating household appliances.
In this regard, the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations recommends installing an autonomous fire alarm in the residential premises of your household.
