On September 13, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. A fire broke out in a furniture workshop in Novopolotsk, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus informed BelTA correspondent. The fire occurred on Armeyskaya Street. By the time the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees arrived, the fire covered an area of 200 sq.m. The premises contained a significant amount of cabinet furniture made of solid wood. At the time of the fire, there were 15 people in the workshop. None of them were injured. They all evacuated the premises independently. It took 45 minutes to completely extinguish the fire. As a result of the fire, furniture was destroyed, walls and ceiling were smoke-damaged, and various property was damaged. The presumed cause of the fire is a violation of the rules for operating electrical networks and electrical equipment. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a container with a bitumen and turpentine-based flammable liquid was left unattended on a stove. -0-
